So Fresh, So Clean

As of tonight, I'm officially done tweaking the guild site, forum, blog and Youtube. Yayyyyy! Done, as in the initial burst of productivity, not permanently. What exactly was added? Weeeeell...
  • Main site was oust'd
  • New main site, featuring:
           -Guild Wars 2 theme
           -Blog
           -Youtube channel
           -Image gallery
  • New forum theme
  • New ranks!
  • New default avatar
  • reCAPTCHA! PS We got 500 bot applications just last month.
  • Upgraded phpBB version
  • Added SteamID and Skype fields in the User Control Panel
If anyone has any requested features, limme know. I's do my best to put it in. Of course, guild forums always have this wonderful way of being neglected and terribly lonely, so I'm not seeing too much work in my near future. Anywhoo...

For the Alliance? What's the Guild Wars equivalent of that?

History of Reborn

Reborn was formed in 2009, on the World of Warcraft server, Khaz Modan. The four founders shared a common vision- a small, tight knit group of players with a sense of humor and comradery, but with the ability to buckle down when duty called and bosses needed downing.

When the guild formed, Ulduar was coming to a close, and Trial of the Crusader was about to begin. During this time, the guild picked up players, and gradually began to fill its rosters. Once Trial of the Crusader finished gating in, Reborn was first on the server to defeat 10-man Anub'arak. As patch 3.2 drew out, our players grew stronger, and we picked up many friends.

Patch 3.3 revealed Ice Crown Citadel. As our guild progressed through the raid, the vision of the guild became more realized. Balancing friendships and progress was difficult, but the guild survived, and thrived. On June 3rd of 2010, the Lich King fell to Reborn, and opened up the path to Heroic Mode. During the months that followed, Reborn progressed to 10/12 Heroic Mode in Ice Crown Citadel.

Unfortunately, Reborn wiped hardcore to IRL. Around August of 2010, during the closing of WotLK, many players had to leave. Two of the founders had a newborn to take care of, several had to leave for college, and others were experiencing late-expansion burnout. During these closing months, Reborn carried many-a pugger through Ice Crown Citadel, giving out several "Kingslayer" titles, and proving that our core raiding team was quite pro. Cataclysm was the final blow to Reborn, with many members quitting due to a lackluster expansion.

During the years that followed, Reborn still kept in touch, outside of the gaming world. Two of the founding members continue to host the biannual guild cookout, which is celebrated in true Wisconsin fashion. With Guild Wars 2 on the horizon, Reborn is once again raising arms, and setting its sights on another foe. Regardless of the game or content, many memories are sure to be had, laughs shared and vulgar language spewed.
